Beijing Zoo Sent One of the New-born Panda Babies to CCRCGP

At 9:50 am of July 2, 2010, the giant panda "Ying Hua" gave birth to a pair of panda babies in Beijing Zoo, and the smaller one was sent to Ya'an Bifengxia Base of CCRCGP to feed urgently.
The giant panda "Ying Hua" was born in CCRCGP.  It went to Beijing Zoo through "cross marriage".  This spring it was pregnant after mating and delivered a pair of panda babies on July 2.  As a panda mother is not able to take care of the both babies, to improve the survival rate, Beijing Zoo contacted with CCRCGP at once for help.  CCRCGP gave full support.  After discussion, Beijing Zoo sent two giant panda keepers to escort the smaller baby to Ya'an Bifengxia Base of CCRCGP to feed.
The experts of CCRCGP identified that the baby is female and its birth weight is 109 g.  The baby was flesh red with sparse white body hair.  It was fed in a incubator.  The nursery employee said that the first week is the key time for the new-born baby.  As a result, the experts of CCRCGP made a special nursery plan for the baby.  The nursery employees would carry out 24-hour caring and monitoring.  The relevant employees of Beijing Zoo would also come to the nursery room of CCRCRP all the time to monitor the newest situation of the panda baby.  Currently, with the good care, the baby is in good condition.
CCRCGP has about 20 years' experience in giant panda hand-rearing and the survival rate reaches to 98%.  It helped Chongqing Zoo, Beijing Zoo and other domestic counterparts to rear panda cubs for many times.  It has the best hand-rearing equipment and technology and the most experienced hand-earing team.  It is the cradle of panda cubs.  This baby will get the best care at CCRCGP.
